Education of students and citizens held within the project "Strengthening Partnerships - Youth in Action for Environmental and Natural Values"

Within Activity 2 of the project "Strengthening the Partnership - Youth in Action for Environmental and Natural Values" funded by the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, trainings and lectures were conducted in the field of environmental protection and integrated forest and water management, importance of natural values, and waste management.
Namely, on 28th of October 2019, experts in the aforementioned fields delivered lectures in the Vraca local community on Integrated Forest and Water Management, Waste Management and the Importance of Natural Values ​​and Biodiversity, and discussed with citizens about the current state and environmental problems in the area Memorial of Vraca Park, and presented the Environmental Partnership model and proposal of engagement of local community members for environmental reporting to be adopted under this project. The target group was the secretary and council members at the Vraca local community - new members of the Environmental Partnership 2019.
On 29th and 30th of October 2019, educational lectures were held in 3 schools (Primary School Malta, Primary School Pofalići and Electrical Engineering School for Energy) also on the topic of integrated forest and water management, importance of natural values ​​and waste management, as well as good practices of natural area management.
The aim of this activity was to improve knowledge and raise awareness of students, teaching staff, and the population about natural values, and to preserve the environment of Hum Forest Park and Vraca Memorial Park, as well as good management practices in these areas.
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the environment and the strengthening of partnerships for joint actions in the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo.
